Classes

After your initial screening, we will schedule a session, either an individual or duet (2 people), to learn the basic Pilates Principles, to ensure a safe and effective workout plan. Once you understand the basic Pilates Principles, we will assist you in choosing a class that is appropriate for you. Our classes consist of 6-7 people in order to individualize the attention each client receives.

Class Descriptions

Allegro 1

Allegro, taught on the Pilates Reformer, focuses on the Pilates Principles. Additional props, such as weighted balls, foam rollers, as well as functional movement activities may be incorporated into the class.

Allegro 2

This class, taught on the Pilates Reformer, encompasses the Pilates Principles of the Allegro 1 class but proceeds at a faster pace, requiring increased stamina and coordination. Additional props, such as weighted balls, foam rollers, as well as functional movement activities may be incorporated into the class.

Mat Class

Mat class focuses on Pilates Principles. This class is performed with small equipment such as foam rollers, weighted balls, flex bands, and rotational discs. Mats and props are provided.

Men's Flex Class 

(not currently being offered, inquire if interested)

This class focuses on increasing men's flexibility and strength. Classes can include a series of activities, including stretching, functional movement exercises, othro-bionomy treatment, and a series of varied pilates exercises involving allegro machines, ball, ring, foam roll, weighted balls, and mat.

Class Make-Up Policy

Advanced notification is greatly appreciated if you are unable to attend a class for any reason. We will work with you to arrange a make-up class during the same month you are registered.

What to Wear

Clothes should allow you to move freely and comfortably without catching on the equipment.

A t-shirt over a sports bra or supportive tank top for the ladies is acceptable. This allows for maximum freedom of movement. It is helpful if the instructors are able to visualize the spine and core areas. If wearing shorts, please wear them at a modest length keeping in mind that long pants are acceptable as well. A t-shirt and bicycle or gym shorts are recommended for the men. Please wear clothing that is free of zippers and other metal objects for your own safety.

Class Sign-Up Dates

Once you have been cleared for a class, the sign up dates are as follows. If you wish to drop in or not take the entire month of class, you may sign up on the waiting list which is based on space availability.

March - sign up week of February 15 - Cost $150 for Mon.- Wed. classes / Cost $135 for Tues.- Thurs. classes 

April - sign up week of March 15 - Cost $120 for Mon.- Wed. classes / Cost $135 for Tues.- Thurs. classes

May - sign up week of April 19 - Cost $120 for Mon.- Wed. classes / Cost $120 for Tues.- Thurs. classes

June - sign up week of May 17 - Cost $135 for Mon.- Wed. classes / Cost $135 for Tues.- Thurs. classes
